Care Closet

Blanchester Middle School Care Closet 

There are many children who come to school improperly dressed for the weather, who are unable to access basic personal hygiene items, or who lack the necessary school supplies to effectively participate in class. Here at Blanchester Middle School we see this need and want to address it the best way possible. We would like to start our very own “Care Closet” at Blanchester Middle School with the help from staff, parents, students, and community members to provide the basic needs that are absolutely essential for their academic success. The “Care Closet” is not simply an informational resource. It would serve as an immediate and tangible “fix” for a very solvable problem. 

In order to get the “Care Closet” off the ground we are accepting any donations from staff, parents, local community members and businesses. The items needed would consist of T-shirts, sweatshirts, pants, underwear, tennis shoes, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, bars of soap, loofah, toothbrushes, toothpaste, dental floss, mouthwash, tampons, pads, feminine wipes, hair brushes, combs, hair ties, and shaving cream. Travel sizes will be accepted but we hope to have full size products to send home with students. If there are any other items that are not on the list that you think would be beneficial we would gladly accept them. If you have any items that you would like to donate please bring them to Mrs. Couch the School Counselor at Blanchester Middle School.
